The Reference Center

From Professional Reference Services

The Reference Center is a full-service education research library where educators, school librarians, and administrators in Los Angles County schools and districts can request research, check-out books on educational topics, evaluate state adopted instructional materials, view scholarly educational journals, and peruse award-winning and recommended children and young adult reading books.

Educational resources and services at the Reference Center include:

  • Extensive book collection on educational theory and practice
  • Complete file of ERIC documents
  • Grants information resources
  • More than 300 journal and serial publications on educational topics
  • Curriculum guides (K-12) on all subjects nationwide
  • California state adopted instructional materials (K-8)
  • Collections of supplemental reading materials in children's and young adult literature
  • Document reproduction services
